Atari

We got Atari almost 11 years ago. She came to us so tiny, just a baby. She instantly bonded with our Henry cat, who was all to happy to be a mother. As strange as it is, he happily let her try to nurse and kept her well groomed and cared for.
She grew into the sweetest cat, with such a patient temperament with the kids and other animals. When Henry passed and Katara came into our home, Atari immediately bonded and they became inseparable. They were synchronized in every way and you would be hard pressed to find one without the other.
You could find Atari in the laps of the boys while they played video games (tucked into dad's elbow or stretched out on Adam), in the bed on Papa's feet during daytime naps, in Phoebe's lap getting chin scratches, in mom's arms soaking up a sunbeam or curled up with Katara in their window perch.
Her favorite things included Temptations treats and extra gravy cat food-which she was very vocal about. She had an affinity for grocery bags and insited on inspecting every bag that came in the house. She loved the baby sling her dad bought her and would be content to be carried in it all day. Her favorite pastimes were harassing Adam-stalking him and demanding extra food and treats (which he would always give) and laying across any and all of Phoebe's school work in an effort to prevent her from leaving in the mornings.
We are going to deeply miss her presence, from having her get on tables while we eat dinner to her welcoming, albeit demanding, meows when we came home or got up in the mornings. Our house is a little quieter now. A little empty and alot sad.
