Dallas Peavy

03/29/2019-07/27/2025

Dallas was born 03/29/2019 and came to us a tiny, but tenacious, little ball of fluff, and he was loved from the minute we laid eyes on him. The pink heart on his nose really sealed the deal. He was meant to love and be loved. And, boy was he. He was our first foray into the wonderful Australian Shepherd breed and he took his job seriously from day one. Even as a little pup, he herded and guarded us, loved and protected us, showed sweetness and loyalty, and brought us pure joy. From the very first day we brought him home, he’d herd us by pulling on our pants legs and leading us where he wanted to go. He took his job as protector and guardian very seriously. He was the “goodest boi” and his auntie spoiled him rotten because of it. She was smitten. We all were. Not just by Dallas, but the breed as a whole. He demonstrated the love, loyalty, and protection of this remarkable breed in a calm and quiet way (unlike some of his rowdier siblings, who owe their places in the family to him having made us fall in love with Aussies). He was certainly the most chill of the bunch. He really was special. We all think our four-legged kids are special, but he truly was a cut above the rest. Because of that, his passing hits harder than most. It has left a void in our hearts that cannot be filled. We only got six years with him, but they were wonderful years, the memories of which we will treasure forever until we see him again at the Rainbow Bridge.
