Pop

Pop was rescued from a feral colony as a kitten when he was seen with a wound on his rear leg, approximately a year ago. After being taken in for veterinary care, he was later diagnosed with feline leukemia. To give him the best and healthiest life possible, he was brought and kept indoors.

Though the biggest of his litter, Pop was far from the meanest of his siblings (many of whom were also rescued and all diagnosed with FLV, along with Pop’s mother). He was nothing short of a big, loving little goofball. Where many cats will try to have their own “me” time, Pop always wanted love and attention and would just roll around in your lap, even if someone didn’t want him to. We even discovered recently that he would “talk” to our dog whenever he’d hear barking from the other room. He remained a “momma’s boy” after we brought them back together when they had both been rescued. He also LOVED books—laying on them (such as when we were moving and had a stack of them under the bed), slapping them around, and chewing on them.

Pop passed unexpectedly, but without suffering. He is now with those of his family who have gone before him.
